Uniting dental practices and communities around one shared mission: “Doing Good”
The Smiles for Life Foundation is the official charitable foundation of the Crown Council, created to unite dental practices, teams, and patients around a shared mission: Dentistry Doing Good®. Through profession-led charitable campaigns, humanitarian outreach, and community partnerships, Smiles for Life transforms everyday dentistry into meaningful impact for children and families in need—locally and around the world.

Our Purpose
Smiles for Life exists to amplify the positive impact dentistry can have beyond the dental chair. Rooted in generosity, service, and collaboration, the foundation supports charitable initiatives that improve children’s health, access to care, education, and overall well-being.
To date, Smiles for Life has raised more than $51 million in support of children’s charities and humanitarian causes—demonstrating what’s possible when the dental community comes together with purpose.

Through charitable campaigns, humanitarian outreach, and community partnerships, we turn dentistry into meaningful impact.
The Charity Whitening Campaign
From March through June, participating Smiles for Life dentists donate their time to professionally whiten smiles. Ultradent, makers of Boost and Opalescence, donates the teeth whitening materials and 100% of all proceeds go to the Smiles for Life Foundation benefitting children all over the world.
Humanitarian Expeditions
Since 2007, the Smiles for Life Foundation has completed over 50 Humanitarian Expeditions to the Dominican Republic and Guatemala with participating dental teams and their families. Lasting 7 to 10 days in March, September and November, these Expeditions are designed to provide access to care to the very poorest of the poor.
Rivers For Hope
How do you do good in the world, bend your fly rod, create remarkable relationships, and earn CE all at the same time? At Rivers For Hope we know that sometimes, all it takes to change the world is a little support. We bring health care to those who have a difficult time receiving it because of their economic conditions. Learn more about the difference we make in people’s lives—and, have fun at the same time!
The Clear Aligner Campaign
Year around, participating Smiles for Life Dentists donate their time to professionally align your teeth with XLUR Clear Aligners. XLUR donates the aligners and 100% of all proceeds go to the Smiles for Life Foundation benefitting children everywhere.
